Warm and comfortable

Warmest camo I own and the pockets are in the ideal place. They are not traditional but easy to reach and out of the way of safety harnesses and tree saddles.

Great design and warm!

The design is unique but functional. It’s super warm and the pocket is in the perfect location especially for saddle hunting!

Order a Size Up, Warm, No Bulk, Great Camo Pattern

Warm jacket without the bulk which makes it ideal for bow hunting. Recommend ordering a size up which will account for the sizes running a little small while also being able to wear a sweatshirt and the Ambush bibs underneath comfortably. Fall Gray is still hands down the best camo pattern I’ve worn in the stand (hunt in mostly mixed poplar/spruce woods)

Zipper, pockets and collar

Hello. I purchased the Ambush jacket 2 years ago, wanted to give it time for review. ( I own 2 Dakota Outfitters jackets from the 90’s made in USA. My son wears one and I the other. )We live in Illinois, 3.5 month long archery season with 10 days of shotgun and muzzleloader mixed in. I hunt quite a bit, the 2 Dakota jackets have been great, not a loose thread, snap, tear or hole. I admit the Dakota jackets are a little short ( I am 6 foot 3 ) but otherwise great, the best jacket for deer hunting I have ever owned. The new Ambush jacket is good, But , I feel has flaws. Yes it is warm, longer torso, light weight. However I would gladly have a normal zipper, snap close pockets, hand warmer pockets, old style collar zip up and cuffs on arms. I would also expect to pay for these options. The collar is drafty in wind, the zipper? Not my favorite, lack of secure pockets, not good, cuffs, are warmer. By the way ( goes without saying ) camo pattern is great!! Thank you

Ambush Jacket

This is my 2nd ambush jacket, only because I went up 1 size. I'd like to say it's because it shrunk in the wash, but it definitely didn't, it was all me. Besides the fact I hunt in negative Temps in Iowa and layer up, so when bundled up a lot the coat was a little snug (again not Predators fault), but not tight. I just prefer a looser fit, so if you layer a lot of clothes (base, mid, puffy layer, outer) you may want to go +1 size.
